- In a 2022 VCAT case VNH (Guardianship) [2022] VCAT 379 Elvin Lawyers relied on expert neuropsychological evidence to obtain a VCAT order overturning a 2021 Power of Attorney and instead upholding a 2017 Power of Attorney made by Elvin Lawyers’ client.
- In a 2022 Supreme Court case (Restricted Judgment) Elvin Lawyers obtained a Court order to remove a person from a Melbourne house they were illegally occupying and that they pay Elvin Lawyers’ legal costs.
- In a 2022 Supreme Court case Matthew Elvin won an appeal, overturning an earlier Magistrates’ Court judgment regarding breaches of Overarching Obligations.
- In a 2021 Supreme Court case, Elvin Lawyers a Court Order overturning a deceased’s Will. As a result, Elvin Lawyers’ client received more from the deceased estate.
- In a 2021 County Court case Elvin Lawyers made a hard fought and complex application to dismiss a Court proceeding for ‘abuse of process’. Unfortunately that application was not successful.
- In a 2020 Supreme Court case Matthew Elvin successfully defended a summary judgment application.
- In a 2020 Supreme Court case, Elvin Lawyers obtained a Court Order dismissing the other party’s meritless claim against Elvin Lawyers’ client.
- In a 2019 VCAT case, Elvin Lawyers obtained a VCAT Order revoking an Administration Order which had previously been placed on their client.
- In a 2019 case Elvin Lawyers successfully defended their client against a summary judgment application brought by the other party in the Magistrates’ Court.
- In a 2018 case, Elvin Lawyers obtained a judgment from VCAT ordering the other parties to return valuable tools and machinery to Elvin Lawyers’ client.
- In a 2016 case, Elvin Lawyers successfully defended their client against a strike out application brought by the other party in the Magistrates’ Court.
